At the 'B Division' you will hear all about the highs and lows of inmates and warders alike from 1851 to 1997. Experience the shivers of yesteryear as you tread the trail of elusive inmates, under the stern gaze of the guard tower.

At 'H Division,' labeled 'Hell Division' by its residents, walk headfirst into the mysterious underbelly of Pentridge. Equipped with state-of-the-art audio-immersive technology, your guide will unseal the maximum security unit, exposing the stark realities of life within H Division.

Instructions

  • All tours start at the tour office, which is located in the former Warders' Residence. It is in the grassed courtyard area near the entrance to the Clock Tower
  • Please gather there to meet your National Trust tour guide
  • Present your smartphone voucher to the guide

Additional Info

Tours leave every 90mins and you will be assigned to the next available tour on arrival. It is recommended you arrive early to get your tour slot allocated.

The H-Division tour depicts challenging content and it is not recommended for those under 16 years
